Aliya Brown Coached me during my first professional career after graduating from college in 2020. I was an executive assistant at a powerhouse nonprofit that benefited its community greatly. I had a lot of pressure to fit in to a place that served so many, and I was thankful my CEO saw my struggle and hired Aliya Brown to coach/train me. Without her, I would have burnt out more often. Not only did she give me practical and administrative skills I needed to succeed as an executive assistant, she created a space where she honored who I was and reminded me I could always begin again. She urged me to put myself first, and held space for me when needed. There are so many skills Aliya taught me, I would not be even to write it down.
